San Fernando Valley Doberman Pinscher Club (SFVDPC) was formed in 1970. Although the Club came close to dissolution in the 90's, it has seen a resurgence, and continues to grow and prosper.
The Club's Constitution specifies that it is not for-profit, so the Board and membership determine whether specific monies go to Doberman rescue, Doberman-related health research, or to defeat poorly-written or conceived animal legislation. The shows generate minimal proceeds, but SFVDPC donates as much time, effort and finances as possible while still keeping the club afloat.
